Ferry Street Bridge – Real Estate
Bounded by the Willamette River, Interstate 5 and the Randy Pape Beltline, this is Eugene-Springfield’s most centrally located area. It takes its common name from the bridge that was once its only connection to downtown Eugene – built at the approximate location of the early river ferry operated by the city’s namesake, Eugene Skinner.
Ferry Street Bridge has a mixture of newer and older subdivisions and is part of the Eugene School District’s Sheldon High School Region. It includes the major shopping areas of Valley River Center mall and the Oakway Center.
Significant landmarks include: Alton Baker (regional) Park, the north bank trails of the city’s riverfront bikeway system, the Delta Ponds natural area, Gillespie Butte, Romania Hill and the University of Oregon’s Autzen Stadium.
The school links on this page take you to the official district web page of each school – where you can find links to the Oregon state School Report Card and for most schools, a second more informal – and more informational – website operated by the school itself.
